In all the time that I have known Una she was a force to be reckoned with. I knew her as the daughter of friends of my mom and dad and as a workmate in the Belfast Corporation Welfare Dept. Life was never dull when she was around. She never took a breath when she was talking and you were lucky to get a word in edgewise. Yes her jokes were bad but she was laughing so hard at them you had to join in. I will always remember how happy a person she was even in bad times. How well she loved and looked after her children when she was a single parent and how much she loved her mom and dad. I lived in Canada for twenty eight years but whenever I was home and ran into her occasionally she carried on conversations as if I'd never been away. I was happy when she told me she had married Felix for she deserved to be loved and cherished
